Custom Cornhole Canada
Pro Cornhole Bags, Explained
Pro cornhole bags look like any other bag until you throw one. They are built with two different fabrics, so one side slides and the other grabs, and players choose which side lands face down depending on the shot.
Here is how they work, and what to ask for if you want custom bags for serious play.

Slick side and stick side
A dual-sided bag has a smooth, fast fabric on one side (often called "slick" or "speed") and a textured, slower fabric on the other ("stick" or "suede"). Land slick side down and the bag slides toward the hole; land stick side down and it stops close to where it lands, for blocking shots.
Single-sided backyard bags use the same fabric on both sides, which is easier to throw and plenty for casual games.
Speed ratings
Many pro bag makers rate each side on a speed scale, such as 1 (slowest) to 10 (fastest). There is no universal standard: one company's 7 is not another's 7, so compare bags within a brand.
New bags also "break in". They often play slower out of the bag and speed up after a few hundred throws as the fabric softens and the resin settles.
Resin fill and weight
Pro bags are filled with plastic resin, which holds its weight and shape far longer than corn and does not break down into dust. They are made to the regulation 6 by 6 inch size and about 16 ounces.

Questions
What is the difference between pro and regular cornhole bags?
Pro bags are usually dual-sided, with a fast slick fabric on one side and a slower stick fabric on the other, and filled with resin. Regular backyard bags use one fabric on both sides.
Do pro cornhole bags need to be broken in?
Usually, yes. Most dual-sided bags play slower when new and speed up after a few hundred throws.
Are pro bags allowed in my league?
It depends on the league. Some require bags from an approved list; most rec leagues allow any regulation-size bag. Check your rule book.
