What makes a good cornhole bean bag
A good bag is square, evenly filled and sewn tight enough that the fill never leaks. It should land flat, slide a little on the board, and hold its shape after a summer of throws.
Cheap bags often use thin fabric that frays at the corners or fill that clumps when it gets damp. Before you buy, check the stitching at the corners and ask what the bag is filled with.
Corn or resin fill?
The game got its name from bags filled with dried corn. Corn gives a traditional feel, but it can attract critters, break down into dust, and go mouldy if the bags get wet.
Most modern bags use plastic resin pellets instead. Resin keeps its weight and shape, can get wet, and lasts much longer, which is why most leagues now play with resin bags. Tell us which feel you prefer on the design form and we will confirm the options for your order.
Two colours, eight bags
A full game uses eight bags: four for each player or team, in two colours that are easy to tell apart from 27 feet away. Classic pairs are red and blue or black and white, but any two contrasting colours work.
With a custom set, the two colours can carry two different designs, so you can tell them apart by more than colour alone.

What size are cornhole bean bags?
Standard bags are 6 by 6 inches and weigh about 16 ounces. That is the size used in league play and by most backyard sets.
